Frequently Asked Questions
+ What is an Escape Game?
Real-life escape games are a type of live experience where players are either locked in a room or have to figure out some riveting mystery. You'll be paired with other participants and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within 60 minutes.
+ How many games are there?
We offer three games at two separate locations both in Redlands.
+ How many players in a single room?
Kidnapped and Pillow Palace allows 6 people for a public game but we can make an exception up to 8 in a private game (you will need to pay for additional participants past 6 people). We do not recommend playing with more than 6 because the game quality can be diminished and there is less for everyone to do. However we get that no one wants to leave their 7th friend or 8th family member out so we we will work with you. Book your game for 6 and let us know by email or phone if you have a 7th or 8th you would like to add on and we can do that for you.
Arrested is strictly 6 people max. (Larger rooms to come!)
Pillow Palace can hold 8 kids or 6 adults or a variety within those boundaries.
+ Who is in the room with us?
Depending on availability of rooms you may be joined by another group. If you prefer a private experience you may purchase all of the available spots.
+ What are the age restrictions?
Due to the complexity of our puzzles and themes the minimum recommended age is 16 at Kidnapped, 13 at Arrested and 7+ with an an adult at Pillow Palace
Pillow Palace Kids game we recommend ages of 6-11

+ Gift vouchers
Need a unique and creative gift for Christmas, birthday, anniversary, or just to surprise someone? A gift voucher will give them a gift and an experience! When you purchase a voucher you will receive an email with a voucher code. This code can be redeemed at any time online or over the phone. The email you or they receive is generic so if you want something a little more fancy, click below for a downloadable blank voucher that you can print or send. Physical copies are available onsite but you will need to call ahead to be sure someone is there or to set up a time.
+ What are the rules for people under the influence?
Please do not participate in the game if you are under the influence of alcohol, any mind altering substances, or any other substances that may affect your senses, reflexes or coordination. The game supervisor may refuse to allow any patrons into the room without any explanation or refund.
+ How much does it cost?
The price is $28 per person or $162 for a private experience.
Pillow Palace Kid's version is $15 per person or $100 for a private experience. This game is 30 minutes.
We accept all major credit cards. Walk-ins can also pay by cash.
+ Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, BUT only on the rare case a room is not fully booked and staff is present. Most tickets are pre-purchased so we do not have many walk-in tickets available. The best way to guarantee your spot is to book online.
+ Do we have to be there on time?
YES! Each game lasts up to 60 minutes, but we need 10 minutes before each game to go over the instructions. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the game will start without you. If the entire group is more than 15 minutes late, the game will be shortened. After the game, we will take your picture and talk about your specific gaming experience. The whole event lasts around 80 minutes.
+ Accessibility and special requirements
Our rooms are designed with wheelchair users in mind. People with disabilities can fully enjoy our games. Pregnant women can also enjoy our games since the games are not physically challenging. There are no fear factors involved either. Seats are readily available in the room if a team member needs to rest for a while. Please advise us prior to your game time if you need elevator access and will will provide instruction and assistance.
+ Are we really locked in the room?
No. We can't physically lock you in the room (the fire marshal prefers you live through a fire and well... so do we). To keep the game exciting you will have one main locked door to figure out how to escape out of, but in the case of an emergency, claustrophobia, or a sudden roar of your lunch, you will have the ability to exit the room through the mysterious emergency exit (the door you entered). While you are strongly advised to not leave the game at any moment (talk about killing the ambiance) should a need arise we will be accommodating. However your clock will continue to run.
+ Where are we located and what about parking?
We have two locations to serve you in Redlands!Kid
Kidnapped - located in Historic Downtown Redlands on Citrus Ave, one block from State Street. Enter through the main entrance of the Cope Building, (the big brick one where A la Minute Ice Cream is). You'll go up their stairs then follow the signs ahead.
Parking is available on the street and in the parking structure across the street.
Arrested/Pillow Palace - Located on Alabama Street between Park and State Street. Drive in the drive way and go BEHIND the buildings in the front. We are located up one of the driveways. Parking is available just outside.
+ Are there restaurants or dessert near by?
TONS! Historic Downtown Redlands is a nucleolus for socializing. Every inch of DTR is crawling with restaurants, coffee joints, ice cream and crepe shops, bars and shopping.
Our Arrested location has all around the surrounding areas. Especially popular are Citrus Plaza and Mountain Grove on the North Side of the freeway.
+ Cancellations and Refunds
